I was writing a blog about Nathan's shoot when Emma, his mom sent me this lovely testimonial. It's so nice to hear that clients have enjoyed their experience and love their images too:
'We were looking for something a bit different for our son's 13th birthday, and had the idea of a photo shoot/makeover for him and four of his friends, so we decided to contact Tamsin to see if she could help, as we had used her on other projects before, and have always been extremely pleased with her work.
From the second that we made the booking, Tamsin's enthusiasm and excitement about the shoot was amazing, and she was in constant contact with ideas on how she could make it special.
For all the effort that she put in to coming up with different themes for the shoot, the food and drink supplied on the day and the big balloons that were there when we arrived at the studio, I really can't thank her enough for making it a day to remember.
The children had an absolutely fantastic time, and really loved working with Tamsin and the Make Up Artist Holly - we shall definitely be using her again in the future.'

Nathan's 13th Birthday shoot - Blog:
It was a delight and absolute pleasure to be asked to photograph Nathan for his 13th birthday as I'd already photographed Nathan about 6 years ago for his stage school and modelling portfolio. So when his mom Emma contacted me I knew it would be a lovely shoot to do as he was such a lovely boy to photograph and being a stage school student he was of course not shy in front of the camera.
The plan was to have him and his close stage school friends join him for hair, make up and a photography session at the studio to start of his birthday celebrations. With 5 x hair and make up to do on the day I called in the amazing Holly Zamani for the job. To get through all 5 of the group it was going to take quite some time logistically. I needed to know my MUA was good for the challenge, so I chose Holly as I'd worked with her before on other projects and knew I could rely on her to do a great job and work well with the client.
Make up and hair took us to lunch time which was catered for lunch to keep us all going with; sandwiches, crisps, fruit and juices. And Emma had supplied some amazing personalised '13th Birthday' cupcakes, made by a mom of the stage school which we all devoured - they were lovely. I also had a stash of sweets and chocolate for them (it was a treat day), which I released after they had eaten their lunch, I didn't want them on a sugar high too early!
Once we were all ready we started the shoot. Nathan and his friends had come up with a series of ideas for 'looks' for the photographs and had all brought their own wardrobe for each set up. The photoshoot rolled to a special play list I'd created for Nathan of his favourite artists and the latest chart hits. The group had fun with some props I'd bought along too. Everyone had a chance to shine but it was Nathan's special day so I made sure he shone just that little bit brighter.
We ended the session with a few confetti cannon shots, as I'd have to sweep up the studio after the explosion. Then the children's parents came and collected their 'photoshooted' out children and off they went for a lovely birthday meal to finish off the day.
